Motivation is fleeting, and there are a lot of things that can chase it off. Highly stressful circumstances make motivation disappear for some people; for others, it gives them laser focus.

If you're like most of my clients, you'll have gone through times of dieting successfully for a while. Perhaps trying some new diet, you've heard about and seeing some progress with the scale at the start. There may be a number of reasons you decide you would like to workout at home, especially these days. You probably are keen in the beginning and ready to rock your living room floor, but as the weeks go, you lose your enthusiasm and/or get bored. What do you do then? You’re stuck at home with endless time on your hands. You have snacks in the kitchen and you’re feeling them call you. Is that you? Just know that I don't blame you. A lot of people want to start eating healthily, but they are worried about how to make it budget-friendly. Affordable fit food can sometimes seem hard to find and high-quality veg, fruit, and meat may look hard to find. But it’s not as hard to eat healthy on a budget as you think. Whether you’re aiming to get that body beach-ready or you’re simply tired of seeing a little extra softness in places you don’t want to, you might be tempted to launch back into another diet. However, if you’re aiming to make real, long-term lifestyle changes, the restrictiveness of a diet can often hold you back more than anything. Standing on the scales isn’t the most accurate way of tracking your weight loss progress. That sounds confusing, but your actual bodyweight may not depict how much fat you’ve lost. Sometimes, you can lose body fat and put on lean muscle, but the scale shows you’ve put on weight or your weight hasn't changed. The majority of people dread cardio because they don't find it enjoyable. It can take ages, you may hate the cardio exercises, and you’d rather do something else. The holiday season is always a tricky time for anyone that takes healthy eating seriously. You’ve worked hard for the previous eleven months, now you’re worried that all of that is undone by a month of binge eating! The year is nearly over and everybody seems to be more keen to socialise, go out for a meal, a drink, not to mention all the company and friendly celebration parties you need to attend. All the while you are trying to keep your sanity and stay on track with your weight loss plan. Is it possible? Yes it is. |
