I've never been an active person, I used to get a gym subscription and go maybe twice in 2 months, wasting money and getting frustrated. But I've always wanted to be an active person. I wanted to go on a surfing holiday without having to worry too much about the physical challenge, I wanted to try a boxing class and survive it: mainly I wanted to lose fat and gain muscle, to look and feel healthier.

I've worked out with Laercio for three months 3 times a week (autumn/winter 2019) and then I've subscribed to his Online Coaching plan for four more months (winter/spring 2020). The first stunning change was that for the first time I was actually looking forward to going to the gym and sweat! Laercio is a great trainer because he keeps pushing you, but he knows your limits: his sessions are intense, but they are never a painful or boring experience. They are usually a mix of weights, cardio and conditioning, full-body workouts.

During the first three months, I've lost about 5% body fat and 5 kg, and I've gained muscle mass. Also, I've achieved healthy water retention going from a scary 38% to almost 50%!

During the following four months on the Online Coaching plan, with his guidance and support in nutrition and gym workout, I've lost 5 more kg and 2.5% body fat. Most importantly I kept going to the gym at least three times every week.

Now it's late spring 2020, we are living difficult times in lockdown and isolation. It would be very easy to overeat at home and don't move enough, but I'm still exercising and running in a nearby park three times a week, aiming for my first 5k, and I've lost 2 more kg!

None of this would have been possible without Laercio's fantastic skills and support: he actually changed my unhealthy patterns and taught me how to stick to an healthy routine.

"I've been training with Laercio for almost 9 months now. I found him after looking online for personal trainers that people seemed to have a positive experience with. I was at my biggest when I started training (a size 18), and wanted to drop a couple of dress sizes.

Since working with Laercio, I've not only reached my goal (i'm now a small 14) - but also exceeded it. Beyond that, I feel like I've got a much healthier and happier view of my body and what it can do.  ​"I first starting training with Laercio in 2014 for around 8-10 months but then moved away from London area. I had zero experience when it came to exercise and Laercio made me feel so comfortable and confident that I was able to overcome my fear of running! I had had a horrible experience with a previous trainers that I thought had put me off for life! I dropped 3 dress sizes in 3 months and felt amazing, full of energy and in love with my body.

Since I left, I went in a bit of a downward spiral largely due to some personal issues, 2019 I started training again with Laercio 8 months ago by which point I was the biggest and unhealthiest I had ever been. A size 16 and weighing 84 kilos, my confidence was rock bottom and I dreaded getting ready and going out with friends. 
 
I lost 10 kilos within 5 months, training 3 times a week for the first 3 months then just twice a week. 8 months on I am a size 10 at 69 Kilos and my confidence is back to a place I didn't think I could get it to.                                                            Laercio always fills me with the determination and motivation needed to really push me past my limits. 
 
I've Dead lifted over 80kilos, learnt to do press ups and even started enjoying HIIT! Laercio always keeps our sessions fun and varied; including kick boxing, weights, HIIT, kettle bells and there's always something new every couple of weeks, just to keep it interesting!
 
There is no way I could have achieved these results on my own (I tried and failed many times). 
Laercio is not only an extremely professional and engaging trainer, but he has exceptional emotional intelligence and always considers my mood when we train, it's almost like a semi counselling session along with a PT session. 
 
I am continuing to train with Laercio despite having reached the initial goal of getting back to my happy size, because I just love the euphoric feeling after every session! And the way I look and feel is an ongoing bonus!"

"​I have been training with Laercio for 12 months now. When I started I weighed 106kilos and my goal was to lose a bit of weight and tone up to such a standard that, for example, I would not feel awkward about being bare topped on a beach. Having aimed to get down to 80 kilos, I succeeded in losing a significant percentage of my body weight and am now 72 kilos and my body fat, which was 37% when I started is now 12% . My physical appearance, I like to think, has improved and my breasts have disappeared.

At the same time as training with Laercio I have been practising a 5/2 diet albeit periodically (i.e. not constantly). If asked whether I could have achieved these results on my own, just doing the 5/2 diet, going to the gym to follow my own routine, the answer regarding the weight loss is that I just do not know (I have tried to lose weight before over the last 20 years and without success) and in relation to the toning, muscle development, very unlikely. My routine with Laercio has typically involved a bit of warm up cardio, followed by some Body weight movement sets, weights, shoulder press, lifting etc usually followed up with abdominal exercises.

​My impression of Laercio is that he knows just the right level to set the training, he clearly is not a softie and works his clients effectively but he will not push too far and knows which pain barriers to respect. Having a mixture of training and a diet has certainly helped the weight loss to be faster. Although the diet alone could in theory achieve the weight loss, I don't believe it would have been nearly as effective on its own, without the training and resultant muscle development and toning. Laercio is also very knowledgeable on nutrition etc and has given me various ideas.

"I’ve always had issues with keeping a stable weight and would go from being slim to overweight. I would stop eating every time I was going through tough times and indulge when I was happy. When I turned 30, I decided I should stop this bad cycle. "I started training with Laercio on 5th Oct 2015, with a clear goal to lose weight. Having attempted the task in the past, my expectations were realistic but this time the results definitely exceeded my wildest dreams: by 5th Dec 2015 I lost 12kg. "I have been training with Laercio for 4 months twice a week and lost over 35lbs and plan to lose some more.
Although more training sessions would be ideal, just these helped me gain confidence and feel fitter - but for me also stronger. I began because I was worried about my health, particularly the risk of diabetes and to my heart from being overweight, which I gained after the birth of my twins. Laercio encouraged me to use Myfitnesspal and checked what I was eating which really helped me stay motivated.

​I was particularly interested in gaining strength and Laercio has given me the confidence to use free weights. Every single session is different usually starting with a warm up and ending with abs works on the mat with various bodyweight and free weights in between. 

At the start I was very weak and unfit - I couldn't manage to do a plank of 5 seconds yet recently could do over one minute. "I trained with Laercio for about 4 months six days a week 2011 summer and I lost a total 34kg and more than 35% body fat. The only things I have to say about Laercio is that he listens and cares to help, has you can see my before and after picture training with Laercio he has completely changed my appearance which has also helped with my energy, health and confidence. "I ​trained with Laercio from March 2013 to October 2013 to lose weight and tone up and I lost 8 kg and went from size 12 to size 8 and lost quite a bit of body fat. I could not have achieved this if I trained on my own as he always motivated me and pushed me to go the extra mile. "Coming from a yoga background I started training with Laercio with many misgivings about the process of Personal Training and really only took it up due to the free assessment session that was offered to me. "I trained with Laercio for 1 year and 4 months twice a week until I relocated. My goals was to improve my general fitness, to look more toned feel better about my body and improve my 5k Run. After I have had trials with 5 other Personal Trainers I knew Laercio was by far the best Trainer so I choose to Train with him. "Laercio has got me running again!
I've been training with Laercio for 4 months now. Plagued with Achilles tendonitis for over 2 years and ready to give up running, a new physio advised that I had a lack of stability between my knee and ankle and needed to work on this to help my Achilles to heal. I wasn't really sure what I needed to do, but Laercio has somehow helped me to get my gluteus firing and build up my muscle strength through a combination of weights and plyometrics. For the first time in over 2 years I'm running again (19km so far!), with no Achilles pain, and I'm ready to do a half marathon next month.

I couldn't have done this alone as I didn't know which muscles groups to work on and how to get them working hard. I also needed to be pushed as I'm not used to using weights and can be quite lazy with it.

"We have been training since April 2013, so nearly 1.5 years. My Training goal was to get fitter and keep healthy. I am 10 times fitter than I was when I started, my body is firm and toned and my strength has gone up to a high level , I didn't think was possible, I now know that there is still a lot more I can improve on terms of strength and fitness even after 1.5 year. I don't think I would have been able to achieve this on my own, not for this continuous amount of time it is so helpful to have a trainer, who motivates and comes up with exercises. I always love to do new things, and the variety of exercises you have shown to me/ that we have done, I would have not come up with myself. Laercio is a lot of fun to work /train with, which makes it a bonus to come to the training. 

For the session we do a lot of strength and fitness exercises, it's very dynamic with very short breaks, it flows, which I like, we do only 2 repetitions per set, which I also like, we do a lot of exercises with my own body weight, so not too many machines, we sometimes do circuit training, boxing, concentrating on core, back, legs, well the whole body, but it 's just right, perfect for what I like and for my body , shaping it and getting fitter. I don't like to be too toned, just right, which your training styles are perfectly adapted to. 

Training in combination with clean eating/Nutrition is definitely the way forward, I am studying to become a nutritional therapist and I can confirm from my own experience that clean and healthy eating supports not only healthy and fitness, it gives you more strength and balance to progress in your training."
